C-5M Super Galaxy (RCH603) makes emergency landing into RAF Mildenhall – 8th June 2018

This C-5 (86-0014) was making the journey from Germany (I think) to Westover under the call sign of Reach 603 when the crew encountered a suspected hydraulic leak in flight over the northern part of the UK. Fortunately for me I was there catch it landing back into RAF Mildenhall where I sat for the remainder of the weekend.

RAF Lakenheath Base Tour – 29th April 2016

I was lucky enough to spend the day with the 48th Fighter Wing at RAF Lakenheath back in April 2016. It was a huge privilege to get up close and personal with these front line aircraft and their crew.

Thanks so much to those that made it happen. It will be a day that I’ll remember for a long long time!

F-15C and D recoveries from an awesome viewing location – RAF Lakenheath Base Tour – 29th April 2016

Firstly apologies for the wind noise, even my fluffy couldn’t handing the wind from the day! πŸ’¨

The Reaper pilots did seem to be really using aerodynamic breaking on this day. I’m pretty sure the first guy dropped his nose at the exact point he got alongside us, complete with a fist pump πŸ€™πŸ‘ŠπŸ˜Ž

I’ve decided to do the same and split the morning recoveries into the three different aircraft types we saw flying on the day. These are the F-15Cs and Ds from the 493rd Fighter Squadron, The Grim Reapers.
