Always nice to shoot a 747 with its busy main gear retraction method. This particular jet looks fairly tired out but is in fact only 12 years old. Perhaps a new paint job is in order?
A rare sight down low in the Mach Loop. This Bristows search and rescue (SAR) Sikorsky S-92 was repositioning to the west and decided to make a pass through Cad before banking around the back of Cadir Idris. A nice surprise to see down low.
A Kalitta Air Boeing 747 (C/S CKS9457) freighter N741CK makes an early morning arrival into RAF Fairford to transport parts and supplies back to the U.S. after Baltops 2017.
Watch out for the deer!
An Atlas Air 747-400 arrives and does a little runway dusting on is way in. This flight was delivering personnel for Sabre Strike 2016 and arrived on 30th May 2016.
Special thanks go to the casual day tripper and her companion who decided to walk in front of me and film the jet on their smart phone. I’m sure they’ll delete their footage as soon as they need more storage space!
