It was an especially misty day on May 30th in the loop, but this C-130 Hercules from RAF Brize Norton made it around the loop twice this day.
It’s always a pleasure to see such a large aircraft at low level.

I’ve been after an A330 taking off towards me for a while, and I finally got one on this day. I’m still hoping to catch one departing from runway 25 so I don’t have the shoot over the fence, which is almost impossible!
Quite a slow day at Brize, but it was good to see some A400 movements and this A330. We managed to miss a few movements due to the cross wind and the tower changing runways during the day.

This is the first trip to a military field with my new Sony PXW-X160. Starting to get some commendable results I think.
The wind was from the east today so the aircraft were arriving and departing from runway 07.
In this video a C-17 (ZZ171) departs at about 15:00 and an A330 MRTT (ZZ333) arrives at around 17:20. I managed to forget my scanner today, so no comms!
The brand new Airbus A400M (ZM400) departs RAF Brize Norton as ASCOT 463 before doing three circuits and departing to perform a PD to Cardiff.
Such a lovely sight to see the new RAF air lifter in service.
