The RAF Typhoon display was loud and proud in 2016. The lighting wasn’t the best though so apologies for the grey jet against the grey sky. That’s the UK for you I guess 🙂

The Armée de l’Air (French Air Force) Dassault Rafale was the highlight of RIAT 2016 for me in terms of the display. It was dynamic, full of afterburner, loud and exciting. Good job Armée de l’Air!
This was the flat display due to low cloud, so he couldn’t do the vertical break to land, which I did shoot on his practice display on the Wednesday. See my other vids for that.

It was all a bit stealthy at RIAT 2016 and this was a really unique fly-by from the F-22 and F-35.
I do love the F-22 display, and it’s pretty hard to film at time, especially with the vertical manoeuvres!

After the practice display from the 2nd day of RIAT 2016 here is the full display from the Friday of RIAT 2016. Rather than shooting from the FRIAT Grandstand this was shot from the crowd line and I think is more dramatic. Enjoy!

During the fast pas these jets were close to the speed of sound and creating some stunning shock waves. Check out the sound as they reach us – BOOF!
This practice display was shot from the eastern end of the runway on the Thursday 7th July and pretty much wrapped up day 2 for us.
