Low level Typhoons – Mach Loop – August 22nd 2017
These two RAF Typhoons were a fantastic treat on this late summer visit to the loop. Great to see them in such close formation through the North Wales low fly structure.

We were treated to a number of passes of this new T-6 in the build up to RIAT 2017 in the North Wales low fly system. Great to try out a new spot to film from as well.
We were treated to a 6 passes by these Tornado GR4s from RAF Marham on April 21st. Quite rare to see three together in a low level sortie, it was difficult to know which one to pan with!
A graceful pass of an A400M Atlas from RAF Brize Norton through the Bwlch in spring 2017. Lovely seeing these becoming a regular sight in North Wales.
Just a bit of fun. A quick winter time-lapse shot on the 5th January 2017 with a GoPro 4. Check out the Tornado GR4 at 0:22 🙂
The ‘Desert Pink’ (XV(R) Squadron) Tornado from RAF Lossiemouth made a trip through the Mach Loop on the 5th January. This special paint scheme is to commemorate 25yrs of Operation Granby during the gulf conflict.
This was the first time the Airbus A400 made a low level trip around the Mach Loop in Wales.
Quite a sight at low level through the Welsh valleys, and we were pretty lucky to catch this one time event! Apologies for the wind noise.
This video was shot from Cad West
Not my normal quality but this was hastily shot on my iPhone whilst rushing to the threshold of runway 27.
Two C-17 movements today. ASCOT6600 departure and ASCOT6411 arrival.
The departure was shot with my Sony X-160, the arrival with my new GoPro Black.
