Not my normal quality but this was hastily shot on my iPhone whilst rushing to the threshold of runway 27.

An Atlas Air 747-400 arrives and does a little runway dusting on is way in. This flight was delivering personnel for Sabre Strike 2016 and arrived on 30th May 2016.
Special thanks go to the casual day tripper and her companion who decided to walk in front of me and film the jet on their smart phone. I’m sure they’ll delete their footage as soon as they need more storage space!
I was lucky enough to spend the day with the 48th Fighter Wing at RAF Lakenheath back in April 2016. It was a huge privilege to get up close and personal with these front line aircraft and their crew.
I’ve decided to split the morning launches into the three different aircraft types we saw flying on the day. These are the F-15E from the 492nd and 494th Fighter Squadron, The Bolars and Panthers.
Firstly apologies for the wind noise, even my fluffy couldn’t handing the wind from the day! π¨
The Reaper pilots did seem to be really using aerodynamic breaking on this day. I’m pretty sure the first guy dropped his nose at the exact point he got alongside us, complete with a fist pump π€ππ
I’ve decided to do the same and split the morning recoveries into the three different aircraft types we saw flying on the day. These are the F-15Cs and Ds from the 493rd Fighter Squadron, The Grim Reapers.

Two C-17 movements today. ASCOT6600 departure and ASCOT6411 arrival.
The departure was shot with my Sony X-160, the arrival with my new GoPro Black.
It was a fantastic day in the loop on February 17th, and the first low level outing with my new Sony X160.
The temperature was below freezing for the first part of the day but SHIFTY flight from the 48th Fighter Wing warmed us all up!
These jets were from the 492nd Fighter Squadron, the Madhatters based out of RAF Lakenheath in the UK.
A single Lockheed U-2 arrives at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire.
An awesome sight and sound in the Gloucestershire countryside. Watch the chase car speed down the runway to talk this notoriously difficult jet down to land.
Shot with a Canon XA-20 just after a very heavy, but thankfully brief, squally rain shower.
On the return from operations over the Baltic, ICER11 and ICER12 make a return from their first Sabre Strike mission of 2015.
These two examples were from Minot AFB in North Dakota 60-047 and 60-018.
